TechStart Today is an independent website publishing practical, jargon-free guides to the technology people use every day - home Wi-Fi, phones and chargers, in-car tech, cleaning gadgets and the smart home. We write for readers in the UK, so our advice reflects British homes, plugs, roads and rules.
What we believe
- Plain English beats specifications. We explain what a feature means for you, not just what it's called.
- Free fixes first. Where a problem can be solved without spending money, we say so before suggesting anything you'd need to buy.
- Honest limits. Every gadget has things it does badly. We'd rather tell you up front.
